Our June Camp Schedule
Monday, June 21 – “The Eyes Have It!” – Amanda Salisbury will start our week off with a study of shape, color and texture of animal eyes. After completing a series of smaller projects to develop our skills, we will finish with a large close-up project of an animal of your choosing. Amanda is a public school teacher with a love of the arts. She has been involved with ACAC since 2017 teaching Art Camp and our Little Artists.
Tuesday, June 22 – “Let’s Fly!” – Sandy Sheldon will lead you through our second day, beginning with a unique dimensional Bird Activity followed by an abstract fiber project. Lots of fun materials will be combined with form and function for our campers. Sandy is a popular ACAC instructor known for her wonderful artist skills that often takes you into places beyond just paint and paper.
Wednesday, June 23 – “What a Relief!” – Get ready to unleash your inner creative printmaker with Tina Vivian. When printing, every day is like Christmas: sometimes you get a pair of socks but sometimes you get a surprise that is better than anything you could ever dream of using all kinds of everyday objects and materials.. Tina has recently retired from Alma College and has extensive experience with printmaking, as well as many other art forms.
Thursday, June 24th – “Let’s Mix it Up!” – Kay Looyengoed finishes off our Art Camp week with lots of fun exploration thru the unusual world of mixed media. Combining a variety of different medias and tape resist into one project will give our campers lots of creative choices and a wonderful finished project. Kay is an experienced artist, teacher, ACAC instructor and member of the Creative Arts Guild of Mid-Michigan.
