As a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization, the Alma Community Art Center is obligated (and proud!) to disclose our financial status. As part of that requirement, we have made our letter from the IRS regarding our tax-exempt status available for view here.

Our financial information is available for inspection at the Alma Community Art Center, 213 E. Superior St, Alma, MI 48801. The art center's regular business hours are: 11 am to 4 pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

A copy  of our financial information will be mailed upon receipt of a written request through U S Postal Service.

The Alma Community Art Center began in November, 2011

​ACAC is a non-profit corporation with a mission of bringing Art to the Community and the Community to the Arts – all built by and with volunteers.  In these ten years we have: ​

• Provided hundreds of high quality, low cost art classes for all ages and abilities throughout Gratiot County 
• Engaged thousands of community members in creating art, in community art projects and in youth art camps 
• Taken these art opportunities beyond our Center to homes, businesses, schools and senior citizen centers 
• Displayed a variety of artist exhibitions – both youth and adult – for our community to see, appreciate, and enjoy 
• Given talented local artists an opportunity to showcase and sell their individual artistic creations; and given our community members an opportunity to support these artists in their creative endeavors 
• Began our journey in a vacated, donated storefront, then in June 2019 bought an historic, 100 year old building in downtown Alma to establish a permanent location for our Community Art Center
• In 2021 we opened our Pottery studio, complete with potter's wheels and kilns. We began offering pottery classes taught by a local professional potter
