You have always wanted to throw some clay on a potter's wheel and make something. Now is your opportunity. Alma Community Art Center's pottery studio offers classes.

Learn to use an electric potter's wheel as well as trim and finish your pottery from an experienced potter - this is a small class for individualized instruction. 
4  two hour sessions

Age: 14 and up
Seats available: 6 (Everyone has a wheel)
No experience necessary!

Pottery Classes
Pottery 1 - A four week class for the Beginner Potter, - class focus will be on the development of basic wheel pottery skills as well as trim, finish and glaze your pottery.  
Class times are Mondays from 6 to 8 pm. Cost is $120
Pottery 2- A four week class the Advanced Potter that completed Pottery 1 and has instructor approval.  Class focus will be on more individualized advanced techniques, skills and special projects.
Class times are Tuesdays from 6 to 8 pm. Cost is $120.

Wheel Thrown  Pottery classes are scheduled for the following dates:

January Pottery 2 class meets on four consecutive Tuesday nights beginning January 6 and finishing on January 27


February Pottery 2 class meets on four consecutive Tuesday nights beginning February 3 and finishing on February 24

March Pottery 1 class meets on four consecutive Monday nights beginning March 2 and finishing on March 23

March Pottery 2 class meets on four consecutive Tuesday nights beginning March 3 and finishing on March 24

April Pottery 1 class meets on four consecutive Monday nights beginning April 6 and finishing on April 27

April Pottery 2 class meets on four consecutive Tuesday nights beginning April 7 and finishing on April 28

About online payment
You can pay online to register for the class. We use PayPal to process our payments, but you do not have to have a PayPal account to make this purchase! 

There is a non-refundable $3 fee to pay online. We hope the convenience makes this fee worthwhile for you.

If you prefer not to pay by credit card, please call us to reserve your seat.

If you must cancel, you may contact us to secure a seat in another class, or you may be eligible for a refund.
Open Pottery Studio
Open Pottery Studio is only available for our  current and previous students. The cost to our previous students is $5 per hour when using a pottery wheel. We have also begun charging for clay to our previous students.

Current students can participate in Open Studio at no additional charge.

Open Studio times for September 16 to December 18 are:
              Tuesday           11 am to 4 pm
              Wednesday   11 am to 8 pm
              Thursday         11 am to 8 pm
